Q: How many guests does the Estate Tent hold?

A: The Estate Tent seats up to 225 guests with two-side cabana tents for each wedding party. If you are looking for a larger reception, we are certainly happy to discuss build out and budget options.

Q: Is there a separate ceremony site from the Estate Tent?

Yes, and it is beautiful! The ceremony site is nestled between the vineyards and the estate tent.

Q: Do we get to have a ceremony rehearsal?

A: Yes, you will get a one-hour rehearsal time at the venue and we are happy to arrange a post-rehearsal wine tasting and dinner for you inside the Tabor Hill Restaurant or any of our other venues including the intimate Free Run Cellars or casual Round Barn Public House. Rehearsal times are the day before the event from 11:00am-12:00pm or 5:00pm-6:00pm eastern time based on availability.

Q: What does the Venue Fee price include?

  • Ceremony space set within the vineyard
  • 4,000 sq. ft. reception tent (40′ x 100′)
  • 200 white padded folding chairs
  • Pergola (12 ft. wide by 8 ft. deep)
  • Bistro lighting in the main tent and cocktail patio
  • Three 42” chandeliers in the main tent
  • 60” rounds (seats 8 guests each) for up to 200 guests
  • 200 fruitwood padded folding chairs
  • Two 6 ft. tables and seven 8 ft. tables for head table, gift table, cake table, beverage station, etc.
  • 12 cocktail/highboy tables for cocktail patio
  • Sunrise Cabana and Sunset Cabana: Cabanas are floored, climate control system, five-piece furniture set (seats 8-12 people), rug, garment rack, standing mirror, side tables, and electrical plugs with USB plugins.

Q: In case of inclement weather, what is the back-up plan?

A: We will work with you to design the perfect back-up plan.

Q: Where do guests usually stay?

A: There are many traditional and non-traditional options in the area. Please email us for our current Preferred Vendor List.

Q: What is the security deposit for?

A: The security deposit is used to pay for any damages that occur during your event. If there is something damaged we will give you a description and refund the remainder no later than 14 days post-wedding. If no damages occur during your event, we will refund 100% of your security deposit.

Q: Are the bathrooms climate controlled?

A: Yes, and have running water.

Q: Do you have a handicap accessible restroom?

A: Yes, we do have one handicap accessible stall.

Q: Is the main tent heated or air-conditioned?

A: We have several fans to circulate the air that work wonderfully. We also provide air conditioners or heaters for your comfort in each wedding party cabana. We are glad to give you a quote for renting heaters or air conditioners for the main tent.

Q: Is smoking allowed inside the venue?

A:  According to the state of Michigan laws, smoking is not allowed inside any of the tents. We do allow smoking outside the tent in the designated areas.

Q: Are candles permitted inside the tent?

A: Candles are permitted inside the tent, but are required to be battery operated due to fire and safety concerns.

Q: What time do you recommend our ceremony to start?

A: The timeline is custom to your needs, but what we have found what works best is to start the ceremony between 4:00-5:00pm EST. If you would like to start your ceremony earlier in the day, not a problem. We will gladly discuss options for you.

Q: How early can my vendors set up?

A: Vendors can drop off as early as 11:00am day of. All vendors must be cleaned up and off-site no later than midnight.

Q: Do you provide AV equipment for the ceremony?

A: We leave AV to the professionals. Please ask your DJ or band to provide the equipment and we will assist with proper load-in and set up.

Q: What does the alcohol package selection include?

We make it very easy for you because we are a winery, brewery, and distillery and you can customize the alcohol package as you wish. All beverage packages include six hand-picked Tabor Hill wines and three Round Barn draft beers (Kölsch, Hop Dealer, and hand-picked seasonal). Various spirit bar packages are also available exclusively featuring Round Barn Spirits that include DiVine Vodka, Red Sky Rum, Blue Flame Agave, 269 Gin, Berrien Ridge Whiskey and Baroda Bourbon. 

Q: What beverage packages are available for the wedding party cabanas?

Each cabana will include a complimentary pre-toast. If you would like to add to the selection, we will certainly be happy to do so and offer pricing accordingly.

Q. What mixers are available at the bar?

A: Your mixers include pineapple, cranberry, grapefruit and orange juice, lemonade, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, ginger ale, tonic, soda water, lime juice, grenadine, and bloody mary mix.

Q: Can we bring in outside alcohol?

A: By the state law of Michigan, all products served must solely come from our Moersch Hospitality properties. Because this is against our liquor licensing, there are steep fines that come with any liquor brought in from outside including an additional $250 per bottle that is found. 

Q: Do you require a wedding coordinator?

A: Yes, we have partnered with a wedding coordinator to help you with all your day-of needs.  If you would like to use a different wedding coordinator please contact us to discuss their responsibilities. 

Q: What is the overview of the pre-wedding timeline?

  • We suggest scheduling three one-hour appointments to discuss all your details.
  • Due upon signing:
    • Half of venue fee
    • Half of coordinator package
  • 6 months out:
    • 25% of the venue fee is due
    • Remainder of coordinator package due.  *If choosing your own coordinator, this must be solidified no later than 6 months out.
  • 90 days out:
    • Event start time due
    • Remaining balance of contract price is due
    • Security deposit
  • 21 days prior to wedding:
    • Final guest count due
  • 14 days out:
    • Bar package and bartender fees due

Q: Can we purchase additional setup time?

A:  We would be glad to discuss options for adding additional setup time.
