One of the first wineries in southwest Michigan, Tabor Hill began in the rolling hills of Buchanan, Michigan. This charming town, located near the Michigan/Indiana border, sits where the St. Joseph River and McCoy Creek meet. Beautiful Lake Michigan beaches are just a short drive from our thriving downtown area. Today, our Buchanan winery overlooks 55 acres of vineyards on the edge of town. Our estate grown grapes, in combination with those from local area farmers, are harvested at the peak of perfection each year to produce our award-winning wines.

At our Buchanan location, we offer wine tastings, vineyard tours and a full restaurant. Our wine experts will guide you through a tasting of our best selections, elaborating on the notes and aromas that make our wines unique. The casual walking tours wind through our vineyards and production facility, allowing a peek into the life cycle of a Tabor Hill grape, from vine to glass. Complete your visit with a relaxing dinner in our restaurant and a meal designed with wine in mind.

Group tours and wine tastings, as well as private events, can be arranged through our hospitality manager by calling the number above or emailing

Butternut Squash Risotto

Butternut Squash Risotto can elevate any autumn meal from average to amazing! While no wine is required in this recipe, it is a splendid creation from the masters of the Tabor Hill kitchen.

Sautéed Veal Medallion

This Sautéed Veal Medallion recipe is a remarkable coming-together of veal, cherries and Tabor Hill’s Red Arrow Red. This dry, multiple-award winning red wine is a key component in this recipe. The special blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc has a complex nose and finish of berries and cherry with spice and pepper.

Traminette Seared Scallops with Mushrooms

Another great Tabor Hill recipe you can prepare at home uses our Lake Michigan Shore Dry Traminette. This award-winning wine is very much like a traditional Alsatian Gewürztraminer: a very fruity, complex bouquet that pairs well with most foods, but complements fresh scallops exquisitely.
